I hope they do. University Lab is already getting out at 10:50 because they're in the state championship game. I'd rather save myself the trip from Zachary to there.

But isn't there a rule if school is cancelled due to inclement weather it also cancels all extracurriculars?

The LHSAA "conducts" the State Championship. Which means they are the ultimate decision maker on whether to play the games.
Normally it is decided by the home team principal or their designee. Most times if a school cancels classes, the game will be postponed as well given the theory if it is too unsafe for school, it is too unsafe to travel for the game.
