I’m beginning to think that Barry is overhyped

I'm watching the news in BR and coming to believe that they are full of shite. Channel 2 is predicting 7-10 inches of rain, channel 9 is saying between 5-15 inches, but then they both say that the rivers are going to rival 2016 river levels when we got approximately 30 inches. That doesn't add up and it's totally contradictory.
Call me crazy, but I think they are starting to play on people’s fears and try to freak people out to make themselves feel important and get viewers.
Am I crazy or does anyone else feel the same way?

I don’t give a shite why they’re doing it as long as they’re wrong
It did get my family to move valuables to higher ground so that’s nice

Not crazy, just stupid

Have you just realized that the news and especially this board overhypes the hell out of every weather event?
Every rainstorm is a monsoon.
Every gust of wind is a hurricane.
Scruffy does not remember people being this nuts when he was a kid.

The river forecast went from 20' to 17' in one update. Its fear mongering backed by Walmart

I just hope you right! I don’t live in a good spot for this much rain without flooding.

Why’s is that 4LSU2? You can explain the wildly inconsistent projections to me? Tell me how 10-15 inches of rain will cause river flooding that will rival 2016 when we got 30. I’m all ears
