I didn’t know CRVs had 3.5L V6 engines.
Neither does the RDX which has a 2L I4 turbo.
YOu may be mixing it up with the MDX which is still available with a NA 3.5 but the top level engine is a 3L turbo.

My wife has a 2016 mdx. It’s been a great car!
Same

Acura are reliable but the tech in that 2018 is so far behind the competition. You won’t even have carplay that the Ford Taurus had standard.

We have a 2018 RDX and have ongoing transmission issues. Taking it in to the Acura service center for a second time in less than a year. Wife loves it, I'm over it.

You should probably bring it to a qualified mechanic shop instead

Done that as well. Local reputable transmission shop in Evansville IN, but they can't do the repair as the RDX is still covered under an extended warranty which requires it be fixed at an Acura service center.

Great car and you’ll be happy with it.

They quit the turbo 4s in RDXs in 2010 or 2011 I believe. Went to the V6 through 18 and back to offering the 4 cylinder in 19

Enjoy your over priced CR-V
Yeah, no.
CR-Vs I find to be deafening at highway speeds. Not so with the Acura that does a much better job handling NVH.

Wrong. The 2018 RDX has the V-6 (I have the 2016). They didn’t change it to the 4cyl until 2019. It’s definitely not a rebadged CR-V (which had the 4 cyl, not a 6). It’s basically the MDX engine in a smaller car, and it’s deceivingly fast. The only drawback is that it doesn’t have SH-AWD. They had that in the first gen, and didn’t bring it back until the 3rd gen.
ETA: the 1st gen had the turbo 4, which was a hot mess.

I have been through a few of them and have gotten north of 300k miles on each of them.
Jesus, do you have a 350 mile commute each day?

2018 RDX
Assembled in East Liberty, OH.
Was the last model year before the refresh in 2019.
$17k for 83k miles, seems too good to be true.
I’d have a mechanic inspect it.

That’s mostly a rebadged 2018 CR-V with a few more bells and whistles. You could probably get into a 2020-2021 CR-V for your money. But then, it wouldn’t be a Acura
Iam about to get a 2012 crv. Only has 60,000 miles and fully loaded. Are these good cars? It's a gift from a family member getting a new car.

Congrats on your first car purchase. I would be hesitant due to the known transmission issues in the 2018.

Does it need fixing or resetting?
