We looked at them, but it was a bit small so we got my wife the MDX instead

Gimme the VIN so I can tell you how deep they're about to stick it in you...
But aside from that, you can't go wrong with Honda products

My wife wanted one badly but we chose another brand. We have had a Honda or Acura product in our garage since 1980.
Some reasons we backed off was, the RDX/MDX required premium gas and there was no spare tire. As I recall, they did have a can of fix-a-flat in the tire well.

Assuming its FWD and not AWD, here are some numbers for you.
This thing would likely fetch 13500 to 14300 at Manheim depending on condition.
Youre paying over retail but if its in good shape that's not a 1st degree murder price.

Bought my wife a 2021 RDX, she loves it. It’s been a great car.

Everyone notice how people that have had them are bragging about the durability of the RDX.
Juxtapose that with tOTs fear of turbocharged engines.
Come on, baby (don't fear the turbo)
Baby, take my hand (don't fear the turbo)
We'll be able to fly (don't fear the turbo)
Baby, I'm your engine

We put regular gas in ours and there is a spare tire

Not sure what year you were looking, but we have a 2022 MDX and neither of these are true for that year / model.
Eta: RDX didn't have spare, you are right on that.

At $18k and 80,000 miles, that Acura is a no-brainer.

This isn't accurate in general terms. The RDX is a more sophisticated vehicle and actually starts below the highest trim level of a CRV. Just like in the Lexus/Toyota line there are sweet spots on each side that provide better value depending on what level trim you want.

Let me tell you, a loaded out CRV with those stats would bring about 90% of that price.

The only Acura model that has ever required premium is the NSX... everything else it is recommended

I suspect this is false. The RSX likely required premium. I drove an ‘07 Civic Si that required premium. The RSX was based off of that car.

My mom has a 2023 & loves it. It's really nice.

I didn’t know CRVs had 3.5L V6 engines. And this thing is very wide and roomy. Seems more spacious and comfortable and fast.

Wife had a 2020 RDX with aspec package. She loved it but wanted something bigger. Recently traded for the MDX type S.
