Kids/wife are still super important and taken care of.
Things that I lost interest in:
Sports (used to rule weekends with game on drink/cooking)
Cooking (see above)
Dancing/Going Out
Bought a bunch of gear to start fishing, never even went yet.
No motivation or get up and go.
Is this a normal thing? Everything just seems so routine now and just heading down a boring path.
I know 95% of Adulting is work, bills wash repeat, but starting to get old.

Get your T levels checked, sounds like depression.

Male syndrome. You hit a career wall and want to give it up but can’t because people rely on you and don’t want to be a failure so you go into default robot mode

Same. Google says anhedonia

I’m 38 and don’t watch any NBA outside of my team. The sport I loved most was CFB, but I’m just not too excited about watching a popularity contest played by mercenaries that make way more playing a game than I will sniff in my lifetime.
MLB resembles what I loved as a kid, but again…seeing pampered $750 mil athletes play like shite in the field isn’t really how I wanna spend my free time.
I’m old and cranky.

Sounds like heart failure.
Though I’m not a doctor, or particularly good a math.

Start hitting the gym and lifting weights.

Between work, family, and kids sports/activities I don't have much time to allocate to my own interests.
When the kids are grown I'll get back to those things and living like I'm 25 again.

Dumb question given these times, but have you been overly stressed?
I’ve been going through bouts of this as well for a while, usually bad some days at a time and then better for a couple weeks. Seems like stress related, could be other things. Still monitoring.

Well, you are getting older.

Wait until you get to 50 or 60. You're just getting started.
I'm 52 and I lost total interest in being hungover Sat. & Sundays.

Yup, it can be a symptom of depression.

Move your family across the country away from all family, that spices things up

Nah, you're good. Went through the same thing a few years ago.
You got the priorities straight (Kids and family first) everything else will fall into place.
Only sport I watch consistently now is CFB and that's it. Quit watching MLB and NBA 25 years ago and quit the NFL a few years ago. That shite isn't important.
I did get back into cooking. I recommend that.

I'm 83 and still enjoy good sex, good Scotch, good Cuban cigar, my Porsche and honky-tonking with my lady. Life is good.

One poster suggested yesterday that men these days arent spending time being naked with other men the way they did in the old days. Been really ruminating on this one. Could be something to it.
