If you're afraid for your life at a restaurant, do you stop to pay the tab?

A reactionary movement to the open carry wave looks ready to take off... and businesses will suffer.

I'm sure you'd go back later and pay for the services/food you agreed to

Not a problem for most here. A couple of flying $100 bills thrown at the server/bartender does the trick on the way out.

If you're really this scared then do the world a favor and become a recluse. Probably best if you go totally off the grid, especially stay off the internet.

Its pretty simple.

People should have the right to open carry and restaurants and other private establishments should have the right to deny them service if the restaurant chooses.

What's your own reason for openly carrying a weapon?

I have an irrational fear of Muslims, if I see one come in a restaurant, I'm walking.

Lives could quite literally be on the line.

So his solution is to steal from businesses that you don't like? Great job professor.

What's your own reason for openly wanting to destroy the rights protected by the law of this land?

His point is that it's not stealing if you're genuinely concerned about your safety. I agree with him.

frick no, but someone open carrying wouldn't necessarily make me feel afraid for my life.

I knew I remembered reading this. So may I ask why this is being posted today? Anything happen to make it relevant, are the open carry guys at it again or is it something else going on?

which opens the door up for justifying stealing for any reason

if I see a young, black male walk in with a hoodie, do I get to just leave without paying?

Rex,

Serious question...How many times have you been in a restaurant where some goober was present with a rifle strapped around his shoulder(s)?

Without google, do you know what the AR in AR 15 stands for?

I'm all for open carry, and a middle aged guy with a pistol in its holster on his belt won't bother me. But a guy in a trench coat, sunglasses, and a rifle strapped to his back walks in and I'm going to be a lot more concerned
