Got it a week ago and had 3 days of high fever laying in bed. Now, fever gone, but I’m still exhausted at 1pm everyday and I can’t taste or smell much. The latter is very scary because they say it can last for weeks... my kids got no symptoms, wife had mild fever one day.

I had a crazy random hit or vertigo that kept me in bed for 2 days a couple months ago. I've never had that before and wondered if it was covid related in some way

Found out I now know two guys that have had it. One my age (57) that only had very minor symptoms. The other was 51 in good health and followed all guidelines. Went from just running fever and testing negative to being on a ventilator and in the hospital for two weeks i.e. hell on earth.
Trouble with COVID-19 is it is a real roll of the dice how it affects each person. Anything from no symptoms to death and anything in between.

Had it in March and still haven’t gotten my smell/taste back. Could end up being permanent. Joke all you want, but you never know how much it sucks to lose a sense until you’re affected personally

Exactly my concern.
Sad watching US situation worsen while living in Europe where it's improving. Seems the major difference isn't govt response but public reaction. Life in Germany is getting back to normal and people generally honor mask and distancing guidance. Meanwhile back in US people deliberately ignoring advice and thinking that somehow makes them patriots or freedom fighters. Sounds like a bunch of sweaty baws that never did a thing to serve their country or community suddenly acting like they're a modern Patrick Henry because they have a hard time mouth breathing through a mask. Why can't we all just do our little part as a courtesy? That shouldn't be political. We should be debating whether govt ought to be choosing winners and losers by shutting businesses and whether printing $$ is sustainable.

Well, every person in the office had to get tested. Luckily, my mom came back negative, but 3 other people did test positive along of course with the bitch who went in to work knowing she felt a little under the weather, but wanted “to tough it out.”

Serious question where are they expecting outdoor mask wear in the US? Only place I've had to do that in Europe is at amusement parks or other busy places where there are outdoor lines and distancing is difficult.
