If your Toyota Truck engine was replaced/recalled - check for pinched fuel lines

This situation is scary.
The guy in the video had a 2023 Tundra whose engine wasn’t recalled, but it did seize and was rebuilt under warranty at a Toyota dealer. There have been several fires in these new Tundras, but this one happened while they were driving the truck.
A few months later the truck ignites while on the highway. They couldn’t even get it to a complete stop before it engulfed the front of the cab.
Check for pinched fuel, brake, or electric lines if your Tundra engine is replaced.

The OT can’t even change their own fluids. You expect them to even know the difference between a fuel and brake line?

The new Tundras are total shite. I wouldn’t buy one new or used.
I can’t believe they went from one of the best trucks ever made to this twin turbo garbage that has to be torn down and rebuilt.

Toyota needs to bring back the V8 the way Ram did.
If you have an older V8 Tundra….don’t trade it for a new one.

You can thank the feral government (EPA) for that shite.
Chasing fuel mileage courtesy of the stupid CAFE standards.

You're right Toyota is the only truck manufacturer to ever experience problems.
I'd rather own a truck from a company that owns up to their mistakes and replaces a complete engine assembly compared to the crap some of my relatives have gone through with Ram and Chevys. You damn well know if this was a Ford, Dodge, or Chevy they would be parts changing like a mother fricker.

I have a 21. Bought it when they announced the 22 with the TTv6. So glad I did.
I think i could sell it for more than I paid for it.

GM now says its fine to lose 2 quarts of oil a month.

I have a 2014 and a 2025. The 5.7 V8 takes 8 quarts of oil, the 3.4 V6 takes 7.7 quarts. I wouldn't have thought they needed basically the same amount. Toyota also went back to a spin on filter instead of the can with an element.

Stealership mechanics aren’t usually all that good. This isn’t really surprising given the magnitude of the recall.
Regarding the TTV6, I’m watching it closely. My LX hasn’t been part of it yet but it’s getting closer and I’m worried.

One makes you go and one makes you slow

My 2024 Tundra has been my best one yet. I've owned four previous and have had zero issues so far with 42,000 miles.

I sure wouldn't like knowing my engine was replaced at a dealer and not factory done. Like being in an accident; the car looks good as new but it will never be as good as new.

a '13 tundra with 240k and never being in shop is completely believable. If you're handy enough to replace a starter or alternator along with fluids.

Changing that starter has nothing to do with being handy. It’s a test of your personal will and tolerance for misery. That’s a giant pain in the arse on those engines.

wayy overblown of an issue. Use an oem/denso starter and it will be good for another 150k. And at those miles you need to replace manifold gaskets anyway.
People lose their minds over the location because they replace them with autozone garbage. Going back in there every 30k IS a pita.
