I currently have an employee than won a $3.2 MM Texas lottery scratch off ticket in 2020. They took the lump sum instead of annuity & recently a built a much larger house. She's in her early 40's with 3 kids & has no interest in quitting her job.

Probably not for a while. I would probably continue to work, just to stay active and engaged, and I like my job. Use my income to cover recurring expenses, then set up a luxury budget, then grow generational wealth as best I could for my kids.

I would set my kids up for their later years, donate to children’s hospitals and the church then go off the grid comfortably.

I’ll be dead within a week if I won the lottery
It would be a fun week though

I don’t think I’d even go back to turn in my shite. They can come get it.

are you quitting your job
No, but how I interact with people would definitely change. The politically correct version of TF99 would disappear overnight.

how many people are you telling?
No one other than my wife, and she damned well better not tell anyone either. No friends, no family, etc. After six or nine months when we have all of our ducks in a row, I will start sharing it just to immediately close family where I need to assist them with various debts, retirement planning, etc.

I'd hire more people, but show up just to talk shite to everyone whenever I want. And have a couple guys like Khabib Nurmagomedov to follow me around in case someone gives me any lip

No, I don’t really work.

I think about quitting all the time and the lottery has never been part of the plan

You may have a spending problem.

I think most will figure it out when I quit my job and do nothing but travel

Yes, I quit.
I tell nobody.
I tell nobody.

I’d buy that western ranch and turn it into OT headquarters.

Edwin Castro, who became an overnight millionaire after winning the $2 billion Powerball prize, was spotted taking his vintage $250,000 Porsche for a cruise around town — and ducking into a bank to take out a fat wad of cash.
The lucky 30-year-old, from California, was dressed down in a quarter-zip Under Armour shirt, joggers and flip-flops while running his errand at a Chase bank with a pal on Wednesday. He added a whopping $997.6 million to his account when he won the largest lottery prize in US history last year.
He definitely posts here.
