If you were kipnapped by a cartel or something, and locked in a room...

...but you were able to escape to the next room over and found a computer with working internet........would posting a thread on the OT asking for help, be an effective way of getting help?
You have limited time obviously, and this would reach multiple people. If the Admins took you seriously, they could share your IP address with law enforcement and maybe figure out you location.
