If I was friends or family with the people why wouldn't I? Do you have something that against gay people?

It would sure beat the hell out of a redneck wedding with the reception being at a knights of Columbus hall with a keg of natural lite and a shitty DJ. And a bunch of guy wondering if they have to wear a tie and dress pants or will their dressy jeans work. LOL

If your friend, or the child of your friend, is getting married and invites you to attend, why wouldn't you, assuming there are no other more pressing conflicts?

I don't have any gay friends and don't plan on having any. I also wouldn't go to a gay wedding if invited.

I simply don't think it would be appropriate to attend something I'm not supportive of. I respect the right to gay marriage, just wouldn't want to attend.

Why not be supportive of the people you care about, even if their choices aren't your beliefs?

That's the kind of people I grew up with. Still work with a lot of that type.
Buuuuutttt no, let's make sure we don't go to a gay wedding.

So many homophobes on this board yet there's a post-a-pic-of-yourself- shirtless thread with 125 replies. This place is a gay paradox.

Are you scared that if you had a gay friend you'd give into your instincts and have sex with him?

But then again, I'm not a bigot.

So not being for gay marriage makes you a bigot?

BTW, if it was a friend, I would attend.
