How many people now have arrest records because of these morons?
How many people are in prison based on accusations from these morons ?
It is truly mind boggling that there are still people that Back the Blue
Yes this video is a few years old (for the people that for some stupid reason think that's relevant),
What is required by law to detain someone ?
I don't know the law, legally.
What is the difference between a detainment & an arrest ?
I don't know, I would have to call Legal.
What lawful basis was there for you to ask for her id ?
I don't know
What lawful basis was there for you to demand her id ?
I don't know
What lawful basis was there for you to handcuff her ?
I don't know.
Hey Cops, wtf do you know ?
Two cops that handcuffed a woman who wasn't breaking the law.
And then when questioned neither cop knew what is required to lawfully detain someone, nor the difference between an arrest and a detainment.
Are you F'ing kidding me ?

These people aren’t just incompetent but dangerous to society

They know the law. They have just been taught by their superiors to lie in order to protect the badge.

By Law you aren't required to obey unlawful orders.
If he told you to drop and give him a blowjob would you just comply ?

Cops like that know the law (or did at some point), they just are refusing to answer the questions because they don’t want to say “because I wanted to” when asked why they detained someone. And the male cop was obviously not answering questions intentionally.
I don’t know the details of this particular case but with the limited info in the videos it seems like they all knew it was wrong to detain or arrest someone and they don’t have answers for why they did it (because, again, the answer is “because I wanted to”).
“Cops” aren’t clueless morons. But there seems to be enough of those that are to cast doubt onto an entire profession. And it’s a vicious cycle because it’s harder to staff police forces these days, so the standards are lowered, which leads to more inept cops and rinse and repeat. I’m not sure what the answer is but this industry needs an overhaul bigly.
I’m generally pretty pro cop, but I saw a comment the other day that struck a nerve with me. Basically it said one of the most dangerous things in America is a cop with hurt feelings. And there’s definitely some truth to that. And this seems like one of those sorts of situations here.

I'm going to need to see the suspect to let you know if they did the right thing.

Why do we have so many brand new posters showing up and immediately posting OPs bashing cops?

I’ve come to the conclusion that at least half the cops out there are morons. The other half are great. We should fire half of them immediately and the other half should get paid double.
Same for school teachers.

Very few cops truly know the actual “legal basis” for what they are doing. They aren’t lawyers. They know what they have been told by supervisors or friends but that is about it.

I’m all for paying cops more to improve the talent pool. Hope taxes don’t get raised.

You don't always get the best when their salary is 50k and training standards have got much lower. Thanks DEI. With that said, comply and you won't have issues 99.2% of the time.

Even the "good ones" will lie and cover up to protect the bad ones. Thin blue line.
