Exactly. This is homicide and hit and run. Corrupt judge.

You should have, I guess.

A judge cannot "drop" charges. Maybe you used the wrong wording here. It's up to the DA's office to amend or reject charges brought to them by the Sheriffs/Police office. Then a grand jury ultimately decides if the case goes to trial.

Judge Trudy White should be shot for her bullshite treatment of Aramis Jackson.
She is partially responsible for the Beauregard Town murder. She sentenced that little shite to "acts of kindness" on an illegal gun charge. He should have been behind bars the day he committed that murder but Trudy White had to be a stupid count.
How she hasn't been chased out of Baton Rouge by a mob is beyond me.

Speaking of light sentences, sat through a court martial yesterday. Girl plead guilty to using her ability to look up someone's medical record, see a diagnosis of an std, head to twitter, post it for all to see.
5 days of confinement, 500 dollars reduced pay for one month, no reduction in rank though. Defendants military appointed lawyer was light years ahead of the government. It was comical actually.

That is weak. Hopefully she gets her arse handed to her in civil court

So the guy plead guilty to a felony and got community service and a $500 fine? Seems legit

Most of the Croatians in Louisiana seem to have names that end in "vich". Are they all full of it?
There are many ethnic Serbs who live in Croatia and probably have Croatia connections after they immigrate to the U.S. but the "vich" part of the family name is Serbian based, not Croatian, and means "son of."
Croatian names frequently end in "ich," without the 'v' such as Tomich (Tomic') and Babich (Babic').
When I worked in Croatia, Serbia and Bosnia right after the Dayton Accord was signed to end the last Balkan War, how the surname ended was often my only clue which ethnic group the person I was dealing with came from. That was important because things were still tense between the ethnic groups.
I'm sure you remember that both Croatia and Serbia were part of the country of Yugoslavia before they broke apart so it was common for the various ethnic groups to live in another part of Yugoslavia. The war relocated many persons of each group back to their original region or even forced some to leave the area all together.

I'm not saying I shouldn't be punished. But for someone to kill someone and get a lighter sentence is kinda bullshite
Thats just my opinion though

A no contest plea carries the same weight as a guilty plea in criminal court but cannot be used as an admission of guilt in any civil proceeding. Curtis Carson’s lawsuit against Cvitanovich in Baton Rouge state court is pending.
And plead no contest to force litigation in the civil suit. What a guy.

This guys family came from Yugoslavia. How do I know? My grandpa was responsible for getting them here after the war. All in all good people.

Yep. as much as I dislike Trudy White, it looks like the DA's office is the one who dropped the charges against Aramis Jackson. LINK He later pleaded out (in front of a different judge) on different charges of gun possession and other stuff.
Why is the prosecutor accepting all of these deals?
