I've been about half a dozen times, don't know if I'd live there but I do love visiting.

Hell, I'd even take New Orleans over NYC.

This is all of course a matter of opinion and I'm sure some people will LOL at me saying Houston and New Orleans.

And it's the wrong and simply laughable opinion. Seriously, fricking Houston is a better city than NYC?

But it's really more of a fact than an opinion. It's like saying "In my opinion water is wet". Houston probably isn't one of the Top 100 cities worldwide, nevertheless better than the greatest city in the world. It's the 5th best city in its own fricking state, nevertheless competing with other great cities.

Given those three, only NOLA would be close to any place I would live.

You're joking right?

You know half the places in Vegas are knockoff remakes of places in nyc?

Saying San Antonio and Houston are > NYC laughable and ridiculous. Hiding behind the "opinion" bullshite is ludicrous with this. It is like saying Shawn Bradley is > jordan. "Well it is my opinion!!!!!!!!!"

There's a difference between a personal preference and "greatest" which would involve both objective and subjective criteria.

Under no objective criteria would San Antonio be a "greater city".

Omg Mexican food!

That's the sole criteria for greatness. Also my own subjective feelings on crowds.

I live in houston right now, anyone that says this place is better than nyc is very dumb. About the nicest way to say it.

The different kinds of ethnic food in nyc so close is unparalleled. It's not just about the Michelin star restaurants but the fact that a restaurant that closes after 3 months would probably be the best restaurant in tons of other metros.
