The word you're looking for is upper south. Which is different than deep south. Think Tobbacco and yeoman farmers. Versus cotton and large plantations.

Have you ever been to Tennessee? Those people would start a civil war (again) for not being considered part of the Deep South.

Deep South would definitely include 100% of Alabama. It doesnt have Marshall County...and Marshall County is 1000% Deep South

The cut off at Lawrence and Morgan with no Limestone county is dumb. Hell, the whole of north AL should be in it.

How to make people not want to visit Eastern Oklahoma:

Before yall try to say Eastern OK isn’t southern, go spend some time there. It’s culturally very similar to Arkansas

those areas on I-20 and 30 should see significant growth moving forward given they're a ~midpoint between most SEC metros and Austin

UT being in the sec now has zero effect on growth in this corridor. That would be the work remote dipshits that decide to up and relocate to Texas towns outside of the triangle. Hate it.

As a far west Kentucky resident, we’re not Deep South. Mid south yes but too many Chicago transplants. We grow a lot of tobacco

No part (and I mean NONE, zero, nada) of Texas is Deep South.

You ain’t ever been to Southeast Tx

It’s arguably the deepest of the Deep South. Literally identical terrain and culture as Lower Alabama
