I would keep the legislative and core executive functions in DC.

But everything else, I would spread across the US.

It’s better than anything Louisiana offers though.

I would split up everything among these cities:

Memphis
St Louis
Kansas City
Detroit
Atlanta
Pittsburgh
Jackson
Baton Rouge
Oklahoma City
Jacksonville
Birmingham
New Orleans
Denver
Omaha
Albuquerque
Harrisburg
Cleveland
Montgomery
Tacoma
Bakersfield
El Paso

Every one of them has a lower costs of living than DC. Every one of them could use more jobs.

I don’t live in LA. I live in TN and it’s better than anything Oklahoma has to offer.

ETA: I still rather live in lake chuck or laffy over anything in the depressing state of OK

If you want a central location, St. Louis makes the most sense. Not northern but not southern either, gateway to the West, on a river, etc.

There was serious talk in the 19th c about moving the US capital to Jefferson City, MO

Well duh, Tennessee is awesome. No argument there. Besides western TN. That part of the state is absolutely the worst. It’s like Arkansas and Mississippi combined.

And no way on the LC or Lafayette thing. OKC & Tulsa areas are way better. Midtown OKC, Edmond, Norman, Broken Arrow, Owasso. OK has significantly better outdoors options. Better hunting. OK has a better government system including public schools and way less crime. You find Oklahoma depressing but Lake Charles isn’t? My exact thoughts last time I went through LC were how depressing it would be to be stuck living there.

Rotate the capital each four years to a new location so the lobbyists and govt leeches can’t get as entrenched

Meh, I just said Lake Charles because I duck hunt near there. I’ve never lived there. Maybe it would suck. I also love salt water fishing and south LA offers that also.
The only thing I liked in OKC was the minor league baseball stadium. The food sucked, tornados were a new experience for me, it seem every clerk at any and every store was a depressed Native American, and it too far from everything. Quick trip to the beach? Nope. Quick trip to New York? Nope. Hour drive to go skiing? Nope. About the only thing to do was drive down to Dallas

New York is the biggest city and the most famous in the World so it would actually make sense.

But for fun move it to some trailer park in Arkansas just to see the politicans interact with the locals.

Duck hunting is better in OK in 2018-2019 than La.

Good luck finding better food than in La if that’s what you’re into. You don’t like NBA basketball? Depressed Native American? Ok in La it’s just depressed black people or poor white trash people.

Dude what are you talking about quick trip? What quick trip can you make from south La? Houston? New Orleans? The panhandle beaches? You drive to Houston to fly to NY the same way you would drive to Dallas to fly to NY.

It’s really not much different. You’re just showing bias because you personally prefer LC.

Well first LA food >>>>>>>> OK food and it’s not close. And those quick trips are from where I live in east TN. I couldn’t fathom having to buy a plane ticket anytime I wanted to go do anything. And no, I don’t care for the NBA
