Have you ever had a really bright idea only to find out someone beat you to it?

It is really strange how independent of one another there have many breakthroughs that occurred in isolation but at similar times?

The cup hat, waffle iron, the rod&reel and karaoke just to name a few.

Has that ever happened to you?

I've thought of starting shitty threads, but you always beat me to it.

True story:

I was working on developing my own camo pattern and line of clothing quite a few years ago. I came up with the perfect name...

"You can't see me..." brand camo.

So I go to google and type in "You can't see me hat" and lo and behold, this fricking douche bag wrestler already had a full line of hats. Including a camo one.

Give me a break...

A proximity based gps monitoring system(ankle monitor on bad guy and keyfob or app for the petitioner). But this ankle monitor will have the ability to shock the bad guy. The intensity increases as he gets closer to the petitioner.

The problem with existing GPS systems is response time. It would have done no good for Gabrielle Bessix last week. But had the ankle monitor been shocking the piss outta him when he got within 100 feet of her, she would probably be alive today.

Existing tech.
GPS Monitoring Technology exists for this

Jesus, Mike. You'd never be able to walk around anywhere in public without getting lit up.

I'm working on something similar yet different.
I have an embedded tracking and vehicle shut off device.
Also working on a simple health sensor.

The tracking and vehicle shut off will be huge though.
I'm working on a device patent now.
Once I have it car jacking will be a thing of the past.

I like the last one a lot. I’d like some info on the set up.

I've often wondered why companies don't do this. They'd rather hire some poor schmuck at minimum wage to embarrass himself.

See. That invention is by the dude holding the sign. He gets hired and then puts the machine up while he does hookers and blow.

My wife's car already has this. Is your idea an add-on?
