if I was single and less risk adverse, I'd definitely sink some money into this

that ship has sailed though

all my disposable income is going into a new garden shed right now

Yes. Awfully weird to be so proud of something you have been so consistently wrong about

Point well taken, and I've tried to remain silent on these boards about Bitcoin specifically, and cryptocurrencies in general, but don't you think the current state of frenzy seems a little tulip maniaish?

It's scary, it's easily manipulated, thefts have been rampant and it's used to buy drugs. This is NOT the type of currency/investment I'm going to hang my hat on

that bolded part is pretty lol worthy.

And downvote away. LSURussian and I have been very vocal about this topic and it's dangers.

that would be great and all if the currencies werent at an all time high and they didnt have some of the biggest companies in the world in the picture as we speak.

that's why I'm starting to look at it, I can afford to take some swings on a gamble. Doesn't look like an ideal time to buy though

I'd like to start gambling some money while I'm still single. I'm not sure where to even look to get into that kind of thing though.

spot on.

I've yet to meet someone that has "made bank" on bitcoin. And by "made bank", I mean actually cashed out large sums of money.

Yes, I personally do. It's beyond parabolic right now. That's why I buy/sell to secure profits

Others are just holding long term

There are threads only started when it hits highs. Nobody started a thread when it was down 50%. I'm not one to shite all over you idiots about this. Do what you want with your money. But don't act like I haven't been right throughout this fiasco. I've consistently said no stores will accept this crap. Today, no fricking stores accept this crap. Just think about that for a minute. You are hoarding money that isn't widely accepted for goods and services anywhere. It's subject to the wildest fluctuations I've ever seen anywhere in a "currency" and has a less than stellar marketplace for trade.

I hope you idiots make a shitton of money. But don't act like someone isn't getting hurt at the end of this.

I wonder how many people held onto their BTC when it collapsed

but some poor sap is going to listen to SFP or someone who has some credibility here and think "Hey, I could sink 5k into this and really make some money for my family" and shite

nobody is saying this is an action without risk

and i've only ever used BTC as a currency and almost only speak of it in terms of currency

i put $1k into ETH to see where it goes. if i lose 1k it's whatever. however, in a year, that could be worth a lot more. that's my personal choice and it's a very small amount of money for me and if i lose it, it won't affect my lifestyle

Nothing wrong about warnings but I certainly do not see how or what you have been "right" about ...

In fact. If we all did the opposite of your advice up to this point we'd could cash out as millionaires

This for me as well. I've been following the cryptocurrency thing for quite awhile, but what has me interested now is the names of the companies getting involved.

like i said earlier i'd never buy BTC to invest right now, but if it goes below 500 after the impending crash, i may buy some to hold

Awesome. I would love to hear the list of stores you've bought goods and services from using BTC.
