What a disingenuous way to frame this situation.

So the punishment for theft is murder now? Slightly more repressive than Saudi Arabia, where you just lose a hand.

Throw in the fact that there’s been no mention of any stolen property on his person, either in the news coverage or the official reports
Not just this, there had been no reports of any burglaries or stolen property reported to the police in over a month, and the only report they had before that month was a gun stolen out of one of the shooter's cars.
But they told 911 that it was an on going problem in the neighborhood.
Somebody is lying here. I'm leaning towards them attempting a CYA to justify their actions before hand.
Which you could argue is premeditation. Which they can seek the death penalty for.

I don’t care if the dude was stealing you can’t chase the guy down the road and kill him. He was unarmed.

I don’t care if he was out stealing shite. They chased him down and murdered him. They had no cause. They were racist fricks and wanted to kill a black guy.
What if he had a gun though and fought back. Would these guys be freed like the Trayvon case?

It’s incredible to me that anyone is defending the killers in this case.
Yep. This board has some legitimate POS trash in here. Whether he stole or not, that doesn't permit you to chase him down and shoot. I can't believe some are truthfully trying to rationalize the McMichaels.

Can't agree with you more.

No shots were fired until he went for the mans gun. If they wanted to just kill him they could have long before he went for the gun.

Even if the guy was stealing stuff and fighting the guy off him, it's still murder.

It’s funny people think a hypothetical robbery would make any difference in the case
It does matter though, both for public perception to even what they could be charged with.
no one, not even the McMichaels, is alleging that Arbery robbed anyone. Let's try and keep the hypotheticals rooted in reality.

What is role reversal then?
30 year vet, check
felon, check
Two 911 calls made about suspicious black guy (neither from shooters)
Black shooter yells for white felon to "stop" multiple times
White felon decides to attack black man with gun instead.
quote:
At least two 911 calls, obtained by USA TODAY, were made before the shooting. One call details the moments before Arbery was shot dead when a caller indicated a "black guy" in a "white T-shirt" was in Satilla Shores on a property under construction..."He’s been caught on the camera a bunch before ... It’s kind of an ongoing thing out here,” the caller says.

Say someone is breaking in your vehicle tonight and you walk outside with a pistol to stop him. When he charges you going after your pistol what are you going to do?
If you kill him are you a murderer?

So it's just all good if people chase and corner people with guns and force dangerous situations?

Is the difference ownership? My car vs My neighborhood? Posted above there were two 911 calls that day about the "victim".
Have two of your neighbors ever called 911 independently about something that was complete kosher?

This is a long thread, so excuse me if this has been addressed. It seems this case hinges on a simple question: is it legal in Ga to pursue and attempt to confront and detain (with guns) someone you think may have committed a crime?
If that is legal, then the only important fact to determine is who initiated the physical confrontation.
