You're drinking whiskey at noon on Sunday?

To answer your question I drink the whiskey, not the bugs. Usually sip when it gets low leave a little bit

I work in the wine industry and we ignore the fruit flies. But at home I do have a little strainer just like that for sediment but the little buggers won't kill you.

Why are you letting bugs fly into your drink? If there bugs flying in drinks I’m either going inside with my whiskey or drinking it before they contaminate it.

If a fly or two fall in, I fish them out and keep going.

If an entire generation of flies fell in like this insane picture, it’s getting tossed, because I’m nowhere near that poor.

It is the Americans version of the worm in Mexican tequila. It is considered a sign of machismo to swallow the worm.

So, drink, chew, screw.

Cuz, Louisiana.
Besides, who’s worried about a little fly? I swirl the glass around, nose it, and let the pour roll off the back of the tongue and see if said fly gave any extra flavor to the bourbon.
