Yes, b/c
A) I'm not a fricking vag
B) I'd really like to sit somewhere and not be the cook, server and clean up crew...
C) Also a little piece of me is missing chips, queso and 2 for 1 margaritas

Yes. And I'd go to a baseball game as well. And church. And to get a haircut. I'd go wherever I wanted to that was opened!

Cruise ships were cesspools for the virus because of the recirculated air, right? I think that's my main concern with indoor public places. Plus, you can't eat with a mask on at a restaurant. So a restaurant will just recirculate everyone's breathing without a mask, and you're at mercy of the owner's cleaning procedures.
I'll wait on that one.
Now, outdoor dining like what's proposed? That is doable if I'm on the road. I'd probably be ok doing that.

I eat lunch every day in the hospital with multiple other people in the rehab department. We all have seen covid patients and interact with other folks who have as well. It’s really not that scary man.

I’d love to go sit in a restaurant with my wife.

I would have went 4 weeks ago..... I’d go today. I’d go Friday if I was hungry. Are you asking me if I’m scared?

If it wouldn’t be too crowded I would go.

But my guess it will be mayhem for the first few weeks they open here so that might keep me away.

I have absolutely no fear of the virus, just hate waiting to dine.

They are letting restaurants open in Texas on Friday and the hell you'll see me eating in one anytime soon. I know many will probably flame me but I’ll let all the crazies go out to eat and I’ll continue to do takeout if I get food from a restaurant.

What's the difference in getting your food from the restaurant and taking it home to eat vs eating it in the restaurant?

Yes. Give me the details of what would be your exposure difference. Either way someone is handing you prepared food. Either way you will be sitting more than 6 feet away from other people besides your family. What's the difference?

Sorry. I thought your question was asking about why someone would want to go to a restaurant vs just taking the food home and eating it.
Guess I read it wrong.
