Have to let them throw the first punch, then you have all rights to beat his f'in arse.
I've watched big tough guys talk mad shite, then force other guy to throw first punch, then they call cops, while a buddy suddenly is able to get in the middle.
And guy who threw punch first got arrested. Even though all witnesses said big guy deserved it, still was assault.

I am a champion trash-talker, and I’m a cocky SOB. I never give anyone the pleasure of trying to intimidate me. Dare him to take a swing and then fold him like a lawn chair.

Stay cool and attempt to de-escalate and leave. If you are not allowed to leave or attacked, then inflict enough harm get out of there.
Or if you have something to prove, bow up and swing for the fences. Just be prepared to die or go to jail because someone else died. It happens all the time.

I know people who have had their careers and/or lives ruined because of bar fights. Human bodies are fragile, and even if the damage isn't that bad some professional organizations will kick you out or put you on probation for a criminal charge.
It isn't worth it.
