People don't want to try firefighting as a living because nobody wants to get burned alive, roll up fire hose, and mess their knees up climbing stairs.

Mod and build offroad jeeps and sell the accessories/parts. Almost all my bodyshop work comes from insurance so the jeeps I do get to work on I'm usually returning to stock. Every once in a while I get one that the customer wants to use the insurance check for upgrades. There's just not a big call for it in the LC area.
Second would be photography and travel for natgeo or something.

Fabrication.
I love building things from metal.
Never had any training, and everything I build is out of necessity/boredom.
I'd really like to build ultra4 buggies rhat are street legal. Keep them under 1500lbs so you can register without fenders and shite, then after put all of the fun stuff on.

Only in track events or HPDE's.
I'm looking for a race car now and if nothing don't break or come untied, I ll get one in 2016.

Teaching's another good one. It seems like it would be a really fun and rewarding gig if it weren't for all the bullshite administration, shitty kids, shittier parents,
been there done that - wasn't concerned about the pay - wanted to "give back" to my hometown high school when I retired from my second profession. Spent 12 years and was driven out by the red tape and nonsensical "professional development" requirements.

Legal in louisiana. Any vehicle registered under 1500lbs doesn't have to have fenders.
Have it inspected with tiny street tires and no panels, then build it up.
