The companies move out and the medical schools leave and then they can shut the lights off. Then just punch a hole in the levee.

There is no way to build up the land. Why don’t they just let the canals flood like Venice, Italy.

New Orleans is sinking. The water levels really do not need to rise.

If they aren’t going to breach the levees below the city and let the river replenish the delta, it’s only a matter of time. As for the climate, it will change regardless of what we do, and no one knows how that will play out.

I would be all for global warming if New Orleans would immediately jump to 350F.

But hey... that's just me.

didn't global warming become climate change because they couldn't prove the globe was universally warming?

Anyway the loss of coastline will really be what ends the city of new orleans. A strong enough hurricane will wipe out the whole region without the coastline buffer. Wonder what happens to the northshore?

Absolutely. But so are repetitive warming and cooling cycles. That occur over millennia. And there’s just not enough data to say it’s entirely human influenced.

Just needs to wait until I visit the World War II museum once more. My grandfather’s ship has a display now.

Global warming IS real.

It just has almost nothing to do with the actions of people. Or cows.

It is real and it must be addressed. But the way we're doing it is all wrong. The idea that we can impact and control the climate is one of the most stupid ideas humankind has ever hatched. We may as well try to control the rotation of the earth around the sun. Instead of thinking we can control the climate, we should instead focus our efforts on adapting to to the changing climate. What has made humans the most successful species to ever live is our unmatched ability to adapt to our environment.

But of course we're not doing that because the steps to do so do not line up with the Democrat Party agenda.

Global warming is real, but it's cyclical and has been since God created the earth. It's used for political gain now.

Did we have an ice age?

Are we still in an ice age?

If you answered yes and no then you believe in climate change

Try and find a map of Louisiana from 1970. Overlay a current map.

Everything south of Houma, everything south of Hwy 14 will be gone within the lifetime of some of you readers.
