According to google the average American works 1811.16 hours a year.
There are 157M people in the US workforce so that is about 543,348,000,000 work hours a year.
What percentage of the work hours do you think actually goes towards real work? As in work that benefits the company that a person works for.
35.0% & 350% is not the correct answer.

percentage of American workers that post on the OT would help with this equation

I would guess less than 2% of work hours actually go towards advancing anything especially in large corporations.
That is probably a seriously way too generous number too.
The term paper pusher comes to mind. Even high level management people dick around most of the hours.

Man do something useful and figure out how much an hour of work contributes to the GDP.

At this exact moment, I would guess 15% of the population.

I give 120% boss so you owe me some overtime. Nice try

So you want to give me more hours of not doing anything and pay me time and a half for it?
Posted on 11/19/20 at 5:17 pm to OweO
I haven't done much today and I'm on hour 12. But what I did in the first two hours paid for the other 10.

So what's that? A little over 80% of the hours you are at work you didn't do anything?

Right, because 3.50% is the correct answer.
