Where the frick have I said this?

I have said a 100000000x he meant guerilla.

This board, and society, thinks if you disagree with one part of an article or a person, you disagree with everything.

I'd say the people who were in an uproar are the real racists, considering they're the ones who assumed "gorilla" meant "black person".

Let's pretend for a second that he did mean "gorilla" effect. What the frick would that even mean in relation to a tennis match? Did she start ripping down banana trees with one hand? It's sad that innocent people constantly have to pay the price for the ignorance of the masses.

Tennis.com article
quote:

The adjectives that come to mind to describe Radwanska are: Implacable; remote; unflappable; leisurely; languid; measured. She often plays from a low crouch, as if she’s dodging real bullets rather than optic yellow ones. It’s effective as a discipline that yields consistency, but it’s also an apt symbol. Hers is a game of the insurgent. It’s guerilla tennis—especially against taller, more powerful, more physical rivals.

This board really is a joke.

You are on team Adler, which I am as well, but that means we cant diagree with anything he says. We have to push forward with our heads up our asses and defend everything he says

Are you really spending all this time over the fact you think they are over-exaggerating the commonality of the term guerrilla in tennis? When you already agree that he wasn't being racist? Man you must be reallllllllly bored.

Why does it matter if it is common or not?
I said it mattered? I have simply only refuted this:

quote:
guerilla,’ a word that is commonly used in tennis

I understand what you are saying(that part of the article is wrong) but it is irrelevant to the argument.

And I am telling you, from playing in college, a little pro, that it is not used in tennis. This is the first time I have ever heard it used in a tennis setting. If they bring an expert witness, they can refute the shite out of that being a common tennis term.

Maybe he coined a new phrase for the sport. If he said this about a white tennis player, would he be facing the same situation?

If I say a Kenyan long distance runner runs like a gazelle, is that racist?

I seem to remember a commercial way back using the term Guerrilla Tennis. It might have been Reebok or something.

Regardless, it's pretty commonly accepted throughout the tennis community and I see no problems with what the man said.

I think the issue is a usual one for you, you're too absolute about your arguments.

You thundered in and told us in no uncertain times, this term is not used in tennis, and guys are giving you multiple examples where it has been used in tennis, that's all.

It just makes no sense to act like it is a normal common tennis term. And I simply pointed that out with my experience. I never thought people would attack me for it

People are attacking you because your argument is shite. How many times does "guerrilla" have to be said in relation to tennis for you to accept it as "common"?
