Wow it’s going to be cold for 4-5 days. Do you really need 64 rolls of toilet paper and a cart full of food?

You are supposed to take all the toilet paper. People poop more when there is a pandemic or if there is weather.

Cy Fair ISD already closed the doors for Tuesday. This has to be the earliest school closing I can recall. Kids already have today and Monday as "remote days" aka they are OFF, so now they just scored 5 days of leisure. They are, as you can imagine, pretty stoked.

The cold is a big concern for south Texas. ERCOT is already releasing advisories. When it get cold, people are going to crank those electric heat pumps and overload the transmission system. Then when they get back on, area by area is going to crank those heaters even more and overload it again. And on it goes until it warms up later in the week. So yes, 4-5 days of cold is a serious issue.

Even compressing the next 5 days into one can do this, doesn’t even have to be panic.
