I didn’t say a word. I shot to the store yesterday and grabbed some boudin and a spiral ham.

None of this happened.

It’s certainly not ideal, but you can cook it frozen. Thaw it out as much as possible and cook it longer. At least she tried to contribute.

Yes OP was just trying to be a hardass to his in law. Or he didn't have a clue about defrosting a turkey even though he's a "hunter". Mr Christmas in-law smacking badass.

So either he's FOS and came here ending up airing his ignorance, just being a dick, or is a part time hunter.

Merry Christmas all.

You tamu baws talk a big game. But you guys are dumb fricks. Your baseball cap is on your head to block the sun, turn it foward. When a hurricane is coming you put the boards on the outside of the window. Now we have to tell you how to thaw a turkey.

If you've ever been by that building (unlikely) there's legitimately no way to attach plywood with going thru a lot of trouble. The owners decided to just sacrifice the windows if anything happened. Don't believe everything shaggy circulates.

Merry Christmas

Maybe MIL knows a little bit about cooking and is sending you a subtle message that she doesn’t like you and wishes that her daughter married better.

The irony is an Aggie calling anyone an “idiot.”

You are just showing everyone that you are kind of a dick.

Instead of helping correct the problem you are relishing in watching someone fail and then you are gonna try and be the hero with your boudin and ham.

Act like a grown arse man and show them how to get it thawed in time for tomorrow instead of snickering behind their backs on their impending failure on Christmas.

I mean who takes pleasure in causing problems on Christmas Day?

as satisfying as i'm sure it would be to be proven right, you should really take the advice above and take the initiative in coming up with a solution to thawing the turkey, you will still be proven right but also you'll be the boss for being right and still helping ur MIL have a turkey to cook so she doesnt feel useless

yeah this is what I don’t get. Probably sitting back and not offering suggestions so you can post a thread about it tomorrow afternoon.

I would never let anyone frick up the dinner for everyone else just because I had too much pride and whiskey in my system to say anything. But if you want to spend your whole holiday being angry about nothing...

I bet you’ll take a fat serving of the turkey when she pulls it off.

I think it’s pretty funny. I don’t really take Christmas lunch/dinner too seriously though, as long as there food, which he has made.
