Idiot mother in law wanted to cook turkey tomorrow

Been here since Wednesday. Insisted on doing the turkey tomorrow. Told her to get the turkey on Wed because it would take at least 3 1/2 to 4 days to thaw. She said she would pick up a fresh one instead. Yesterday afternoon she came home with an 18-20 pound block of ice.
I didn’t say a word. I shot to the store yesterday and grabbed some boudin and a spiral ham. Going to cook a few racks of ribs on the pit tomorrow.. Just checked the turkey this morning and that bastard Is hard as a rock. If it fell out of fridge it would probably break a tile. There will be no turkey cooking going on here tomorrow.
When I get in from my Christmas morning duck hunt I will make a big drink and watch the turkey clusterfrick unfold.

She could pull it off with an electric roaster with a thaw setting, and then you will look like a dick if you’ve said anything. Tread carefully brother.

Fill up one side of sink with cold water. Of that is too small use small ice chest.
Put turkey in it.
Thaws out in a few hours. When you cut open the package you may need to stand up the turkey and run water down inside the cavity to get the rest of the ice out
