The cops have said that incident with the dog is not related, but I also read that a former detective said “police will say anything to throw off the killer”.

Huh?

A family pet a few doors down is found skinned except for the head and legs in late October, and a month later 4 kids are carved up with a combat, hunting knife, and they immediately dismiss any correlation?

C'mon, man

3 miles away is more than a few doors down where I’m from.

In fact, the home of the family pet is probably barely even shown on this map based on the distance. LINK

By the way, police were requesting any footage from surveillance videos that people may have in the highlighted area from 3am-6am from that night.

Have the police commented on the ice knife theory? I know it's a stretch but it would tie up some loose ends.

This is approximate distance between the 2 residences. Completely on the other side of town & way more than a few doors down.

Not sure where I got it being walking distance, but still enough to not write off as coincidence. Not an everyday occurrence for sure.

Unless skinning someone's dog can be tied to a message on unpaid gambling debts or adultery to an 80 yo man

The various theories are getting watered down.

They said the murders were cold blooded, but hesitated to comment further.

A lot of armchair reddit detectives are melting over some of these theories.

If you have the time, everything is within walking distance.

Obviously you have not heard of Invisible Ink. The knife is in plain site, you just can’t see it because it’s invisible. Case closed

Possibly in big cities, but that is not the case here. Very small town with virtually no significant crime.

This is just a case of no experience with what requires very technical skill. Would still think they would have the common sense to lock down the crime scene until experts could come in and evaluate, but hubris and all.

Saw an unsubstantiated post that said it’s food truck guy. Despite being “cleared”.

First, let’s emphasize the “Unsubstantiated” part.

But, in this unsubstantiated post, how are they squaring the circle between him previously being cleared and now?

Just something to think about

Makes sense you wouldn’t name a suspect if you don’t want them running or hiding things - you just let them think they’re ok

I know this is not a corroborated claim or anything - but just interesting speculation

While, it is interesting, and thanks for clarifying....

...On a personal level, I might scratch out the suspect's name from screenshots with MS Paint and re-post if I were you, just in case the unsubstantiated claims turn out to be horseshite.

It's up to you. But I'm a bit of stickler for the "innocent until proven guilty" thing.

(I hope I'm not coming across as a hall monitor. Just wanted to throw it out there.)

That’s only for a court of law, not a message board. If it applied everywhere Kyle Rittenhouse would’ve gotten treated differently by the media.
