Science!
Making the world a better place by identifying the "Down's Syndrome' gene.
I wonder if the same effort is being made to identify the "Texting While Driving" gene.

Europe has to do this, it's the only way the state ran healthcare has a chance at being sustainable long term. Same reason Canada's solution to almost every problem is MAID. Small %s of the population demanding high levels of care break state run systems.

I've known several people with downs and murdering them in the womb is both evil and criminal, yet here we are.

Advocates argue it is sympathetic and prevents a complicated life for the child and the parents.

People with downs seem to be the happiest people on earth so I disagree with this

Now if there’s some medical way to prevent a fetus from developing downs I support that route of eliminating the syndrome. But to do it through abortion is just fricked up

I mean how often do you come across someone with Downs while in America?

I’m trying to think of the last time I encountered someone with downs. Besides the one older kid we see at Mass about once a month.

I am deeply embedded in that world, so I pay attention to it. More than what you would think, brother.

I encourage everyone who is outraged by this to go adopt and take care of those that haven’t been aborted

That article is one of the most chilling things I’ve read in a long time.

Unfortunately this is all done just so it doesn’t inconvenience the parents lives.

I think universal health care has to be a factor, too. I’m guessing medical costs are higher for a child with Downs and the government doesn’t want to absorb that.

Would you have this same response if Iceland began killing all homeless children?

This “litmus test” that pro-choice advocates try to put in place is striking for it is an attempt to silence those calling them on their support for murder.

Have you put a person in need of Medicare or Medicaid on your insurance?

Have you moved anyone in need of the welfare state into your home?

No, then shut the frick up.

You’d better believe that government trying to lighten its expenses will encourage its populace to do abhorrent things in the name of “improving women’s lives.”

I tried to add a fetus on my insurance to prevent it from being murdered, but they told me I couldn’t

You're getting a glimpse of a world without God.

It should be no surprise that countries that are highly atheistic mass abort children with genetic problems and also have extremely high levels of assisted suicides.

If one complete rejects the idea of human beings having a divine soul then at that point society can reduce human beings to entries on a spreadsheet and will delete the "negative" entries with zero hesitation.

They "put down" people the same way a farmer would put down a work animal that stops being useful.

I don’t know a lot about Down’s syndrome. It seems some are very mild while others are more severe. Probably can’t tell from the fetus how severe it will be. I’m not going to judge people harshly for not wanting a child with severe birth defects.

Having a medically fragile and severely disabled child is incredibly hard. It’s emotionally exhausting and extremely expensive. It’s life altering in ways you wouldn’t even think about. It often tears up marriages. Count your blessings if your children are healthy.
