The funny part is that the image depicts a sub-Saharan African. North Africa had more in common with southern Europe and Levant than with the rest of Africa. It is part of the racist concept of the "African" as a monolith, when Africa as a continent has more genetic diversity than any other region of the world.

Red Hat is a huge important company in the tech space. Most of their top leadership is white, btw. They did hire a DEI officer and a Jewish CPO (human resources leader) though. I guess that's getting put into action.
Red Hat's future is not looking good. I'd like to see all red state governors and CEOs boycott them but that won't happen.
