That “cabin” is a bit dramatic.
I’m not knocking the entire development. It looks like it might be a fun place to take the kids for a quick getaway. But not if those are the sleeping accommodations.

I have to assume the cabins will be new builds.
Last time I drove by, there were cabins already on site. I assume the place shut down before they were ever rented out.
They already have one available on AirBnB

Come relax, fish, paddle, bird watch and find some peace and quiet in the Frog House on Alligator Bayou! Spend the evenings rocking on the porch or talking around the fire pit. The Frog House is a comfortable and updated two bedroom house located at the intersection of Bayou Manchac and Alligator Bayou. Come for the weekend or spend the month exploring the historic waterways and wilds of south Louisiana.

That’s actually nicer than I expected. I’d sleep there.

I guess you can book a murder while camping experience.
I laughed because I thought that was a rando pic of some shack. Then I clicked the link and saw it really is their promotional picture for "Book a Cabin, Camp site or Glamp Site".

Or you’re being purposefully obtuse. There’s a wide range between the metal shed and the actual cabin rental post. The majority of us live in the middle.

I could be mistaken, but it looks to me like they're using some of the old structures from when the alligator tours were in operation. Wish they'd do something with the actual bar.

Does anyone know what this place originally was 100 years ago? I remember renting canoes there back in the early 90's before it grew into the big business with the tour boats. We used to canoe out to Spanish Lake and back. There was another launch into a canal on Hwy 74 and you could get to Spanish Lake that way also.

March 25, 1699 - Pierre Le Moyne d'Iberville
I ran mostly east, like yesterday afternoon: I must have made today 7 leagues and 50 portages over trees and log rafts; and we came on and spent the night at a landing where we found 6 pirogues. Here two small streams unite with this one, one from the north-northwest and the other from the southeast, making it half again bigger and twice as wide.
... The place where I am is one of the prettiest spots I have seen, fine level ground, beautiful woods, clear and bare of canes; but the whole country becomes inundated to a depth of 5 to 6 feet during high water...
