You still get the stall, or a big slowdown, but after landfall. That's no bueno for rainfall and is why we got the High Risk for flooding rains.

Those rainfall totals still look like they got cut in half from the 30-40" forecasted earlier today

You can punch in a storm surge up to 10' to see how it affects the area.

Is it more accurate than Dim statistics on sea level rise?

So is Tampa safe from the hurricane? the Tampa Reddit acting like it’s going to be completely unscathed.

Yah throwing pool furniture in the pool to avoid flying projectiles is pretty normal in FL.

Should a person ride out the storm in a wetsuit with oxygen on the bottom of the pool?

So far initial signs all feel less shitty:
-further south reduces total population in direct impact
-moving a hair more quickly, while a stall does occur, it appears to move out more quickly
-more NE track in the next 48 hours vs pure N track
-rainfall total projections are high AF but half of what they were 12 hours ago

This will suck, particularly for those in the path but there have to be a few bright spots here right?

Friends in Dunedin are watching the dogs play in the yard while making ranch waters, buddy in Oviedo is on the way to the liquor store after stacking one sad line of sandbags in front of his garage.

They're certainly getting much more relaxed

Not my favorite cut. Really the only thing you can do is stew them.

This is a stupid question, but do you throw the pool furniture in the pool to keep it from flying around?

Only people from up north are freaking out. I assumed I’d be on I4 tomorrow and Thursday going into work before they closed the office.
