I witnessed a carjacking yesterday

Laffy is trying to be more like NOLA and BR.

I was on my way home from work and came around a curve and saw car in a ditch about 100 yards ahead. A car had pulled up to help (the blue Taurus being pulled out of the pond) and I saw the guy leaning in to the car. An elderly woman jumped out with her hands up and he sped off.
The woman was worried about her car, I guess it is probably totaled.
Felt pretty bad watching it and not being able to do anything.

He’s a good boy. I’m sure he was just trying to secure transport to UL so he could take his Econ exam and finish his graduate degree this semester.

Definitely would be the least of my concerns, but I’m sure that’s a very traumatic situation. Everyone wants to say they’d be prepared, but I think the last thing you’d expect is to have a gun shoved in your face when you’re willing to stop and try to help someone.

like what? a 20 yard shot with a glock 19 with another vehicle as the backdrop while he was pulling a woman out of the car at gun point? nahh...not really anything I could have done. the only reasonable course of action was to let him drive off with nobody hurt.
