Take your lunch to work or halve the lunch portion and save for dinner. Either way, stop whining like its the restaurants problem you dont have self control.

They have "to go" boxes. Eat about half and take the other. Been doing it for years. Works great!

That’s not the issue. My complaint is I end up just wasting the other half by either taking it to go and never eating or throwing it away. There is no reason for all of portions to be so large

wish places would go back to serving normal sized burgers. It may look good on Instagram, but how in TF am I supposed to eat a 6" tall burger with a knife in it?
I'm irrationally irritated by food specials that are clearly made for instagram. I saw a post for a footlong taco with the caption OMG NEED!!! NO you fricking don't...no one needs a foot long multiple pound taco, and also there is no way to logically eat that. There is also a food truck around here that sell daquris that have a legit whole slice of cheesecake topping them...I can't think of anything more nauseating than finishing even half of that....but I bet they sell like crazy, go on the gram and get thrown out

I like to get out of the office for lunch but damn all these places serve huge portions. It makes trying to stay slim/lose weight so much more difficult. You have to throw the extra food away or take it to go. The trend needs to move from huge portions back to normal size portions and up charge the people who want more.
Does this look like a good place to exercise portion control?

Sorry you have zero willpower

Geez. Just take the leftovers and have them for dinner or lunch the next day.
That's fine if you are able to get somewhere to refrigerate the food, but if your afternoon consists of going to a few different places for meetings or other calls, you're going to have spoiled food in a couple hours max.

Or you could meal prep fatty

The portions are crazy at most places. No problem when I'm with my wife because we can just split it. Its just a waste most of the time and you feel bad for wasting food. I'd rather just pay less for less food but I suppose that's the point from their end.

I get pissed when I travel away from home and the largest ribeye a restaurant has is 12 oz. Local restaurants here in the delta all serve 20-24oz ribeyes. A small ribeye here is 16 oz.
12 oz is like eating a filet for me

Vehemently agree. I don’t need fricking 12oz of chicken for lunch.

Young man, you aren't leaving this table until you clean your plate, and you are going to like it!

I sometimes save half for dinner

1) Ask for a to go box when they bring your plate. Immediately put half in the box.
2) Take about 5 minutes longer to eat than you normally do.
These two things will help with willpower, and help your budget. And as a bonus, you'll be able to see your dick in about a month.
