I was saved by a yellow lab today

I was out a a job site today taking measurements and was nearly bum rushed by 2 pit bulls coming full steam at me. Scared the hell out of me. I grabbed a 2x4 and got ready. Not 1 seconds later the property owners 100 pound lab went full throttle into a all out hunt and destroy sprint, and rammed head on into the biggest of the 2 dogs. It was all out death match. I thought ole yeller was toast. After 7-8 seconds of going at it, the pit went chomp down and shake on the labs ear. Poor lab was howling and snarling. The other pit was just circiling the ordeal. Feeling scared for the lab I hit the damn pit with the board. He let go and stumbled a bit,and the dog gone lab attatcked again. I ran for the back door and yelled for Bo(the lab) to come which he did. The 2 pits followed in kill mode. Bo and I made it through the screen back door just in time for me to slam the wood door shut. Holy cow my heart was racing. Bo then proceeded to walk out the front door and pick up his ball on the front porch like nothing happened. Outside of a hole through his ear, he was fine. I say all that to say, thank God for Labs and their huge balls.
