Not much is scarier than an undisciplined dog charging at you. A neighbors German Shepherd charged my 2 small dogs 2 years or so back while we were in my yard. I kicked that dog in the neck as hard as I could. My two little dogs each took a few bites but they kept fighting as I kicked the damn thing. We got very lucky that the dog ran away, still don't know how or why. A few weeks later that same dog bit an autistic kid. Now when I walk the dogs I am strapped. If I see that dog outside of its yard I am shooting the thing. I feel bad for the dog though, but better him than one of the neighborhood kids or dogs.

Wasn't my house. Large house being gutted. I was taking measurements in the fenced (key word) backyard. Old trailer sits in the back of the property. Maybe they were camping out. I didn't ask. Thankfully large gutted house had doors. Owner of property never mentioned dogs in the back. Yes lab(named Bo) who is the property owners dog,went out the front door and picked up his ball. Called owner and left message, pits had to go before I returned.

Back when I was around 30, I was on my BMX bike at some trails in the woods and riding alongside a canal. There were houses on the other side of the canal, and one yard had two big Rotts going nuts behind a short fence. They suddenly trotted back toward the house like they lost interest - then they turned back around, hauled arse, and jumped over the fence. They came trudging through the canal then took after me and a neighbor's kid who was around 13. We were hauling arse on the bikes with these Rottweilers barking, gnashing teeth, and chasing us. I was yelling back at them and pedaling my arse off, all the while thinking I don't have to outrun the two Rotts - I just have to out-pedal the kid. Finally they just seemed to lose interest and turned around. They were probably just fricking with us, but rarely have I been that scared in my life. You owe that lab a nice fat ribeye.
