I took a job making about 25k/yr. Single, lowish cost of living area.

It was a dream job and I wouldn't have changed it. As long as you aren't in debt, and want that job, I say go for it

Bean Maker. You may have to change your name if you take that job.

Are there advancement opportunities?

What is the difference between your current salary/cost of living and what you'll get there?

I was offered a job to work at the National Baseball Hall of Fameby Boston Bean MakerMy problem is the salary they offered was too low. My offer was between 60K and 70K - and they want me to start on a salary of 40K. It’s a full time job within their research and library center. What would you guys do?

Tell them the NFL Hall of Fame offered you double that.

Also if you take the job, demand to finish your current job at the NBA Hall of Fame

Most LSU fans would pay that to handle Paul Skenes' balls.

I remember interviewing with the Saints/Pelicans selling suites. I thought it would be amazing. $40K salary. Pfft.

Hopefully that was a base and you would make a commission on sales.

Imagine selling clients on more than 100k per year packages and only making 40k.

You must have other fringe benefits like the ability to bed a Saintsation.

That’s comically bad for a starting salary

Congratulations! The NBHOF notoriously offers low pay for their librarian and archivist positions and they almost always seem to have open positions.

Syracuse seems way too far away to live if you're required to work on-site every day. Even Utica would be a haul, especially in the winter. Living in Cooperstown would seem to be the best option.

On another note, I came across a job posting for a team historian and archivist with the Tennessee Titans. It's only a three year contract position so there's a small chance of long-term employment. They better pay well if living in Nashville is expected.

40k to deal with Syracuse winters. Yikes

It's doable though as long as your wife is willing to work full time as well I guess but not sure something worth relocating for
