It seems to be limited to the David Miscavige (the leader) and the Hollywood types that get the slaves. They can lose the Hollywood types easy, so they treat them well. David is David, he does whatever the frick he wants to do. They have a volunteer side of Scientology where they basically give the church everything they own and sign a billion year contract to serve the "church." They run it pseudo military style. They torture themselves and do all kinds of frick up things to each other. They force abortions. It's really fricked up stuff. I always got a good laugh out of reading about the game of musical chairs that Miscavige made the big wigs of the church play to keep their jobs.

2005 actually.. that’s when he had the Oprah couch incident (which i think was blown way out of proportion) and the infamous interview with Matt Lauer.

I get why some people would have a hard time separating the artist form the art, but I have like 4 Tom Cruise films in my all-time Top Ten, so i enjoy his movies so much that i guess i’m Willing to overlook his private life.. also, and this isn’t an excuse - but having watched Remini’s show and other documentaries on $cientology, it’s known that the big names in the cult are shielded form the bad PR and quite literally have no idea of what’s really going on while theyre being catered to their every whim.. ignorance is not an excuse though, just saying that i dont think he’s a bad dude, just clueless.

Exact opposite of what has been reported. He and Miscavige are extremely close. I don't think you can be as far in as he is in it and be shielded from the shite that goes on. He definitely keeps his involvement much lower profile than he did a few years ago before the backlash against Scientology really geared up and we had all the major defections from the tops ranks that we have now and being presented in mainstream media.
