He had no emotion. We had come back in the courtroom like an hour earlier to ask the Judge about some questions re 2nd degree murder and manslaughter so figure Md his lawyers prepped him for the worst

Was it impactful in any way that the D.A. himself was representing the city?

Not a lot of substance. Clearly a politician move. He and Fuller just yelled at each other the entire time for the most part.

Do you think Tiger has a legitimate chance to win the British Open?

So why didn't you buy the whole self defense argument?

How many of the jurors had their minds made up before the case was presented? No, really.

So, you didn’t believe that Mr. Jackson, a 60 year old black man (as Jason Williams described him today), was digging thorough Ward’s pockets trying to steal anything?

No

Sammy’s was the best. There was some place I’d never heard of before that everyone hated.

One guy was unabashedly and illogically against sending him away. He was super nice until it was time to make a decision.

Is it crazy to you he gets 30 years yet black dudes in NOLA shoot each other execution style and are out on the street in less than 5? Or they attempt to murder each other and aren’t even tried?

Were there networking opportunities in the jury room? Were any lasting friendships made?

Just quickly reading an online article about this. It said that there were no witnesses and no video evidence. How did you all come to the definitive conclusion that he was not defending himself?

What was the percentage of white versus black jurors?

Are you white?

Yeah. We knew when we saw him and fuller that this was the real deal.

Did he seem remorseful? How were his parents taking it?

He never said anything about being mugged when the cops found him in the parking garage. He never got treated for any wounds from the knife they said Jackson had. They produced a random photo of his hand being cut on the very last day and everyone was like this is the first time you found this picture on your phone?! Etc.

Fair enough. Thank you for your service.

Did Ward ever talk to the police? Give them a reason at all for kicking this guy?

We did a good job of not talking about the details before the end so I wasn’t really sure where everyone stood.
