Can you get all of the college football games which are on major networks including ESPN of HULU ?

NFL games also ?

I'm on the verge of cutting the cord myself.

My internet, cable, land line phone I've never used equal $167.00 per month

If you like channel surfing, don’t do it.

I dropped Directtv two weeks ago and got Netflix plus YouTube TV. I have every channel I watched on Directtv (except History) including local channels all ESPN channels, SEC network, Fox sports, CBS sports, etc. I don't miss satellite at all and I'm saving a hundred bucks a month. Do cut cable, get Netflix, Youtube TV, and a fire stick with the Cinema HD app. You can thank me later.

I cut the TV cable over a dozen years ago and don't miss it for a minute. Plenty of options for whatever you want to watch as has already been pointed out. The thing is after I'd been off for a while I'll flip channels when on a business trip and think "holy crap at the pure garbage on tv!"

Do it.

Now.

Get a good antenna and put it in your attic. That'll get you all of the NBC, ABC, FOX, CBS, etc...

Next pick one of SlingTV, HuluLive, or YoutubeTV.

Finish it off with any of Netflix, Hulu, Prime and you're set.

I can live without local channels or a home phone line, so I dropped the $180 month pkg with my local provider and bought an ATT portable wifi (hotspot) for $75 month. I get my sports channels on Hulu/Sling and my wife gets Netflix. It can get overused if there are too many devices being used simultaneously, but unless you have a large household you can probably get by.

I can't wait until December when my 24 month contract is up for Direct TV, their asses are getting kicked to the curb.

Surfing their channel lineup makes me sick about how much garbage I'm paying for.
Google chrome cast and a digital antenna will cover me just fine.

Cut Xfinity almost 4 years ago and haven't looked back. Have an antenna for locals and the pic that comes over the air is better than Xfinity or DirecTV when I had them. Currently use Hulu Live to get the ESPN channels (I've used Direct TV Now in the past). Hulu Live is no contract so I would add in September for college football and then drop as soon as March Madness was over but my wife got into some Hulu original show so I had to keep it over the summer.

Even if you have a smart TV, get an external device. They have better processors and more flexibility with apps. The Apple TV 4K is the best with the Roku 4K box not too far behind. The Amazon fire devices suck.

Cut our cable with Comcast in August. I actually answered when they called earlier this week, the guy actually started getting confrontational when I kept refusing to go back

We're using YouTube TV, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. I haven't missed anything yet that I can think of, but I was late on getting to the Ken Burns Country Music Doc and just need to figure out a way to watch that. I guess I can do it through the smart tv?

It really depends on the situation. I like all the sports channels, including golf, plus locals and HBO.

Cutting the chord and still having access to all those channels on 9 TVs would only saved a few dollars a month. If my savings are less than $50 a month, it’s just not worth the hassle.

You’ll end up paying just as much or more to watch the things you want to watch.

Wrong. I have yet to miss any sports event I care to watch live and usually in HD. Non-sports content has same availability, I just don't care as much about watching that most of the time. In our case we have a fast internet connection, unlimited cell phone plans and nada mas.

You will have to get out of Cox for sure because they start charging after a certain amount of Gigs. Find an unlimited internet provider. Of course it matters on your viewing habits too. Do you sleep with the TV on? Do your kids sleep with the TV on? how many kids do you have? do they watch stuff on their phone all day? Without unlimited internet which COX does not have your bill can get out of control. I cut the cord and then got back on it because all the other services where just adding back up to the cable bill without the convenience. You have to get internet anyway, adding cable to it is not that much more.

We use PSVue and a jailbroken firestick running CyberFlix.

We used PSVue, switched to DirectTV now, and quickly switched back to PSVue. DirectTV sucks beyond bad.
