I thought turkeys could fly

I saw some flying the other morning

Wild turkeys fly, just not for great distance, like geese or ducks. They roost in trees every night, and they can fly to avoid danger or obstacles, like flying across a river, etc. They mostly walk though.

Due to selective breeding for breast size, domestic turkeys can't even frick anymore...much less fly.
