I just got my renewal and it is up over a hundred dollars with no accidents or tickets. WTF???

See, what had happened was...

Tort reform as a means of lowering premiums is an insurance industry lie. They’ve had it in Texas for eons and it didn’t make a dent.

Moved to Texas and mine dropped 75% - no exaggeration.

Well if you took whatever bullshite your GOPe/dem state rep/senator told you regarding tort reform in Louisiana as truth shame on you. One day we will wake up. I’ll probably be dead and gone.

So citizens gave up their rights just to increase the insurance company’s profits. Wonderful.

This humors me, because literally every poster on this board who is an attorney, whether they did PI or not, told y'all over and over again that this flavor of "tort reform" wasn't going to do a god damned thing. But damn, did people eat that shite up

Yep. The governor's veto threat caused it to be watered down to nearly useless.

All “tort reform” does is increase insurance companies profit margins. That’s been known for decades. But corporate boot lickers won’t listen
Posted on 1/5/22 at 9:17 pm to LaPride55
none of the key features went through.

Every single one. It’s unreal.

Yea, Texans pay 1/4 of what we pay in Louisiana. Tort lawyers don’t do too well there for a majority of claims.
Posted on 1/5/22 at 9:18 pm to LaPride55
Just pay the shithole tax and listen to “I’m from Louisiana” until you’re sick of it enough to leave.

Elect a trial attorney as governor, get trial attorney results.
