I thought Tort Reform was supposed to lower my car insurance rates?

I just got my renewal and it is up over a hundred dollars with no accidents or tickets. WTF???

Tort reform as a means of lowering premiums is an insurance industry lie. They’ve had it in Texas for eons and it didn’t make a dent.

This humors me, because literally every poster on this board who is an attorney, whether they did PI or not, told y'all over and over again that this flavor of "tort reform" wasn't going to do a god damned thing. But damn, did people eat that shite up

Yea, Texans pay 1/4 of what we pay in Louisiana. Tort lawyers don’t do too well there for a majority of claims.
