For some reason I thought that had been removed. I stand corrected. Like I’ve said many times before, I don’t do PI work

As someone who handles cases in the crosshairs of these amendments, I can tell you we aren't even close to feeling it. Hell, in some cases, we waive the jury because it's just not worth it. The right cases will come-those zero impact drive through ones with zero PD and 27 months of Dixie Broussard treatment, but none yet. Still, I have to think many cases are being refused because of the jury issue.

Gordon needs another billboard with more bible quotes, some more shitty commercials and a new, fricking shameless inflatable cross for his building at Easter-time.

Pay up.

Also, how do you expect Spencer Callahan to afford the upkeep on his helicopter pad?

Reform will help in (some) rural and suburban parishes. Orleans, EBR, and Caddo juries will not be kind to insurance companies all of a sudden.

It's amazing to see the insurance industry run propaganda so far up your mouth breathers asses that you're shitting on Baws like Gordon, Bart and Dudley DeBossier (people who live, employ people and spend a shite load of money in LA) for companies that send their money to New York

Dude... you do understand none of the top 5 insurers are based in NY? They are housed in IL, NE and LA. Zurich (#12) is based out of NY and per the state website have a loss ratio of 212%. Meaning for every dollar received 2 dollars and 12 cents are paid for losses. The larger insurers in LA have loss ratios in the 70's. Agent commissions and operation costs are typically 30% of the premium.

A little education may be beneficial. The information is available on the LA DOI site.
