The house we bought came with an absolute unit of a tom cat prowling around the property. Completely feral, but he fricked up anything that came around including raccoons. Kept his distance, but was always around. Started to leave a little food out once in a while. 4 years now and I can pet him, but only for a short time and he distances me again. Every once in a while, he'll bring something he killed up to the back porch as an offering. Killed a damn racoon once. Birds, field mice, lots of little snakes, and a possum. If you zoom in, you'll see the red stains under his chin and on his paws from a battle he had a couple weeks ago before it snowed.
He's gotten fricked up a few times. Bleeding, one ear is basically gnawed off, half his body will be red with dried blood, skin exposed missing a chunk of fur, broke his tail twice. He'll come over to get some help from me, clean him a little, then bugger off again.
He just recently got comfortable enough to chill on the porch as long as I don't move much. Tommy is the best boy. A tank of a cat. Love this dude.

The cat that owns you is a hell of a unit.

I like that guy. Have one similar, barn cat I got from my parent’s horse barn. Have had him for almost two years now. He runs the show. And I have a wolf lookin’ sumbitch that plays the fun stuff with the cat. It’s a circus some days when those two guys get to playin’.

Is it mostly black with some white splotches especially on the chest area?

See if she has a chip or check locally for a missing cat. If nothing shows up keep her but see if she’s spayed.

Get them spayed or neutered if they haven’t been already.

The cat owns you now, congratulations! A cat adopted our family when I was a kid. We found his owner and he was picked up. He returned to us so they let him stay with us. The mouse is his gift to you.

Its black with white paws and a bum tail. Got white on its chest. If its yours you can come get it before my kids get attached further. He literally sleeping on my back porch.

Yes. Probably a good idea to get the cat fixed if it's not already. Sometimes you will see a cat's ear that is clipped. That's one way of knowing if it's fixed. If it's a boy...well, you know... he'll be missing his crown jewels.

outdoor cats are the best. no litter box and they'll kill every pest within 100 yards of the house

How we ended up with our last 2 cats. They own the house and all the humans in it
