So you went on a two month bender and now you have the shakes?

Sounds fair. If I go hard for a week straight, meaning almost no sobriety and recollection of those days, I will have the shakes for about 3 days after stopping cold turkey.

Yea that don’t seem long enough to have withdrawals but I wouldn’t know because it takes me a month or two to finish a fifth.

It is if someone has been averaging 10 drinks (including beer) per week for years before going on the bender.

Nope.

Heavy drinking, defined as 8 or more drinks per week for a woman or 15 or more drinks per week for a man.
LINK

Heavy drinking (>15 drinks per week for a man) and even moderate (8-10 drinks per week) for years increases the risk of DTs if you go on a bender like the OP has.
