I’ll never forget all the fools and how they acted. It must be humiliating for them knowing they lapped up the propaganda like warm milk.

A global social dynamic that caused the world to stop and get off the hamster wheel for a while? Yea…. It’s gonna change things. Some things will never revert back.
One thing I know of is a good thing in that most people place a higher value on quality of life than before…. And that doesn’t necessarily take money.

For me I think it is how the scamdemic exposed that so many protective norms we assumed to be solidly entrenched suddenly disappeared. Prior to COVID would you have thought:
1) The government could restrict the free movement of law-abiding citizens.
2) You could lose your job or be prevented from traveling on an airplane for refusing to be injected with an untested vaccine.
3) If you weren’t fired outright that your employer could put protocols and restrictions in place based on your vaccination status that effectively disclosed to everyone a personal healthcare decision.
4) That your employer could charge you extra for your health coverage solely based on your vaccination status.
5) That you could be prevented from being with a loved one in their final moments due to quarantine restrictions.
6) That you could be forced by government mandate to wear a face diaper.
7) That the government could prevent you from going to church or from other lawful assemblies (but of course if you loot and burn cities in the name of protest that is okay).
COVID was a wake up call that our rights can be taken whenever TPTB find it expedient to do so. That will take decades for many to forget.

I think Ronald Reagan wasn't conservative enough.

Then it turns out they knew from the beginning what it was and that widely available medicines and therapeutics could have prevented the whole shutdown and saved millions of lives. But they needed the Emergency Use Authorization so they could make billions on the fricking vaccine.

Excellent points, but if you were here during Katrina you saw:
Cops stealing cars
Cops stealing guns from law-abiding citizens
Barricades being erected to restrict movements
The government is not your friend, especially in times of crisis. They panic more than Facebook moms.

Truth to this. I see more campers on the road these days and folks are traveling more overall. It’s like lockdown lift brought out those who probably stayed home. There’s people everywhere.

I was surprised at the reaction to a novel coronavirus entering the population. I thought, at worst, the most susceptible segments of the population, seniors and immune compromised individuals would be protected and life would go on for everyone else. Coronaviruses, even novel ones, are not known for their high fatality rates.
Instead, the reaction was as if a highly communicable bird flu had broken out. All of the actions taken for Covid would have been appropriate for bird flu. They definitely weren’t for Covid.
Some states’ health departments (I remember Arkansas’ and Kentucky’s in particular) recommended against the extreme measures to their governors and both states wanted to shelter vulnerable populations but continue as normal otherwise with messages to be careful about spreading it to older loved ones. They feared devastating effects in the economy. They were overruled by the federal government and fell in line. The rest is history.

Yep, it basically ended the media in my mind for life (although the influx of social media BS also contributed).
I can’t stand the news now.

The opposite. We keep hearing how it's on the brink of collapse. For like 50 years we've heard that. But it keeps going.

Yes
I will never, ever look at roughly half of society the same. Those people are absolute fricking losers and truly owe the rest of us apologies for years.
Also, if it weren't clear before, your government hates you.

Yes - since 9/11, just say “matter of national security” and your rights are suspended until notified otherwise
The fourth amendment is dead and buried. The first amendment is on life support. Once those are gone, the whole idea of America crumbles—so we live under the illusion of freedom, and we have for a long time.
