See, he wasn't even aware they had the wrong person.. He just had no idea why they were arresting him and he didn't want to be arrested for something he can't even begin to understand.. That is why he said he was just with his PO and to call his people.
That's where the police really screwed him over. They don't always have to be such an a-hole.. even if they feel a guy is lying to them..

What happened in between was him asking to see the warrant and then telling someone to call his parole officer.
What didn't happen was the police asking for identification.

If I request o see a warrant, and it isn't provided, I'm going to assume the cops are doing something sketchy. Literally all they had to do was have 1 cop watch him while the other went to show him the warrant, while also asking him to find some sort of ID. It's that easy.
we'll get the warrnt, you get some ID. And the other cop watches him.
