Actually hospitalization was up to 1,280, as of yesterday. Your point is well taken, the raw numbers are lower, but the hospitalization numbers are increasing very rapidly right now.

23 and me was not getting everyone's DNA fast enough. Problem has been solved. Everyone will be on file before the testing is over.

Happened to me in the spring. At least she got treated for her sinus infection. All I got was a Covid test requested, that resulted negative for infection, and that's it. Never mind that I was still sick.

Nancy and all of the Democraps took the vaccine back in March.

They would let millions die to get rid of Trump.

Yeah, everyone I know that's had COVID recently had sinus infection symptoms - that's what I brought my 15 yo daughter to the doctor for when she tested positive.

OP makes no sense. A nurse saying she thinks she has COVID doesn't count in the positive numbers. She tested negative, she will count as a negative test in the numbers.

Wouldn't be surprised if the mark her as a positive to cook the numbers

You're just making this up. It's not happening.

I'm on the anti-shutdown team and vote that way, but some of you are fricking stupid. There isn't a conspiracy at these testing centers for positive tests, especially for insured people. Medicare patients who test POSITIVE get the hospital a stipend, but that's it. The urgent care isn't getting kickbacks if your wife is positive.

Biggest reason for this is so they can control the spread in a building that is filled with "at-risk" people.

That being said, Covid hospital census and ICU impact is as acute right now as it has been since April and August spikes. Nope

I see the numbers every morning. They’re on the state website. Acadiana is lit up right now.

LGH, OLOL, OGH, IMC, UHC are all seeing the highest numbers we’ve seen in a few months.

Wife went to Urgent Care last night for sinus infection
She gets them at least every other month so she knows when it's coming

Tells nurse that she has a sinus infection...complaining of headache, sinus pain, and slight nausea
Nurse automatically tells her she has covid and must take a fast track test before anything else.
I told wife to refuse and go to Lake After Hours, but she didn't feel like waiting again.
Nurse continues to tell my wife she has covid and should wear a mask at all times.
Test comes back negative, so they give her a shot for her sinus infection and send her on her way.

Freaking Ridiculous...
I now see how they are reporting 57,000 tests a day if they are doing this all over the state
Wouldn't be surprised if the mark her as a positive to cook the numbers

Just the opposite happened to my dad. He went to his doctor for a sinus infection. They didn't test him. Gave him meds for the sinus infection.

Last Friday, my mom starts feeling bad. Goes to an Urgent Care, tests positive for Corona. My Dad goes too, and he's positive also. They call their regular doctor the next day, and their office is closed to patient due to an outbreak of corona among the staff.

This shite reminds me of the approach of the year 2000 and all of a sudden, the information tech and data nerds were given power they’d never had and went crazy with it.

The medical thought leaders have surpassed them.

One of my kids had a cold two weeks ago, I know it wasn't Covid because when I had it in August I made sure to give it to my kids so they'd be done with it. Anywho, we called to schedule an appt at the Dr because we didn't want the cold creating a sinus infection. They told us they would not see her without a test. Period.
